Having worked in the IT for over 3 years, specifically in the field of internetworking, I have a wide and varied skill set covering many core www technologies.

My career to date has seen me undertake a variety of roles giving me competancies in many area's.

I am a keen, conscientious, highly motivated professional seeking to further my career in internet technologies. Throughout my past employment I have proven the ability to work effectively as part of a team and equally well on my own initiative. I have also demonstrated the ability to build customer confidence and exceed customer/client expectations at all levels.

I am a strong communicator and posses excellent interpersonal skills. I have a broad skill set and enjoy rising to new challenges. I am keen to undergo further training to advance my career and am currently working towards CCNA certification in my spare time, with a view to completing MCSE and RHSE thereafter.

2002 -	worktrack.
: employed on a full time consultancy (self employed) basis to deploy a corporate VPN solution. I was approached by worktrack and asked if I would come in and assess their current network topology and provide a more cost effective solution to that of having all sites interconnected via private circuits. I have since effectively implemented a PPTP VPN solution using Cisco and Microsoft technologies. Since completion of the VPN, I have undertaken the task of developing a corporate intranet/CRM system driven from existing Access databases that were previously accessed from stand-alone machines. I am developing this in PHP on IIS4, interfacing with access DB?s over ODBC threads. I have also implemented a basic DRP and written a network support manual.
2000 - 2002	edNET
: my primary function was supporting end users in all aspects of internetworking. duties: supporting end users on a variety of OS?s. Specifically; various mail client configs, mail server configs (MS exchange ?NT/W2K, Ftgate ?NT/W2K, communigator ?MAC, sendmail ?LINUX, postfix ?LINUX), network configs (providing assistance in the configuration of customers LAN?s and routers ?CISCO). Supporting web developers on 2 platforms; NT/W2K(IIS, access/SQL server/ODBC, asp, java, perl) & LINUX (apache, postgreSQL/mySQL, php, perl, java). Supporting dialup (analogue and ISDN) & leased line (fixed lines, xDSL & fibre) customers. Maintaining & monitoring the core network as part of the team (mail ?postfix/sendmail, web ?apache/IIS, DNS, TCP/IP routing ?CISCO, server installations/upgrades -both customer co-lo?s and internal). Installing xDSL lines and setting up routing as required. Further to my primary duties I was involved in various internal projects during my time with edNET. Most notably I was involved in the development & implementation of an internal CRM system to track customer support issues, record services held by customers and customer contact details, provide reporting tools to monitor response times to customer queries.
1999 - 2000	Standard Life
: supporting, technically & administratively, a training programme for a new software package ?AWD (automated workflow distributor). The programme was delivered to new employees from a MS NT environment and it was my responsibility to ensure the training conditions were adequate for the trainees and tutors. I was also responsible for the design and implementation of a MS access database to manage availability and report on feedback from the trainees. Towards the end of my contract with SLAC I spent some time in their customer relations dept further developing an existing database, again MS access, to log & track PIA complaints against company reps.
