Lindsay is responsible for all technical content of the Netengines eCommerce/ eBusiness product suite, including a managed service offering. Lindsay is responsible for the implementation of the strategic business aims into marketable products, including the management, the design and build and integration of all solutions.
Before joining Netengines, Lindsay was Head of IT for BAE System's Combat and Radar Systems Division, responsible for the development and use of IT in over 32 projects with 600 developers in some of the worlds leading Air, Sea and Land IT systems. Lindsay was a winner of BAE Systems Innovation Award 3 years running.
Previously, Lindsay was identified for the role of Technical Programme Manager for a worldwide Customer Relationship Management suite of Internet based products on behalf of the International Marketing and Sales Office of British Aerospace PLC Head Office.
Lindsay has spent 16 years as a passionate technologist building a strong reputation for thought leadership in the design and development of robust, distributed system architectures for the UK and foreign national companies, primarily in areas where high availability is essential. Lindsay is 36 years old and is a New Zealand citizen, holding UK residency. Lindsay has also worked in Germany, Italy, South Korea, United States and Australia.

Netengines is a medium sized UK based software and service house developing IT solutions for Business Process Outsourcing vendors or corporates wanting to manage outsourced non-critical services. The IT solutions were developed from a generic web services architecture developed in-house. Netengines IT solutions are available as off the shelf products and through an Application Service Provider service.In his role with Netengines Lindsay was responsible for the direction and use of technology and full lifecycle management and development of all IT solutions. Lindsay was responsible for developing business concepts, with the executive team, and translation of those concepts into marketable products and services. Lindsay defined the architecture for all solutions, including applications, integration, infrastructure and security architectures. Lindsay was responsible for the management of the development and managed services teams, ensuring delivery to time and budget, with a satisfactory level of quality. Lindsay was accountable for all technical input to ongoing customer delivery projects, managed within a matrix organisation, and scheduling of releases. Technical content into in-house provided training was produced, and coordinated by Lindsay.Lindsay was accountable for Netengines managed service facility, including responsibility of achieving availability targets, service level agreements and help desk provision. His role required extensive customer contact, working closely with the sales department and project management team.

Main Achievements :
-Delivery of new technology and solutions to blue chip clients.
-Delivery of new eCommerce platform to market.
-Delivered Application Service Provision service, engaging in B2B and E2E commerce.
-Delivered value add products, including 24x7 availability, helpdesk support and product training.
-Managed the securing of Netengines IPR through development of Netengines in-house software development and services capability.

BAE SYSTEMS is a global systems company delivering IT solutions as a prime contractor and systems integrator in the air, land, sea, space, and command and control market sectors.Lindsay was responsible for the management of IT services used in the delivery of programmes with contract value of approximately £250M, including tools and processes used during the development stage. Lindsay was responsible for ensuring that new product development was creative, cost effective and practical. As an earlier adopter of internet technologies and wireless technologies to deliver content and processes to end user locations internally, pull through of these technologies benefits into customer programmes was achieved.Lindsay initiated a change programme, having secured board approval, in IT strategy, reducing the operational cost base while increasing the delivered services to programmes, and for the first time, customers. Deployment and exploitation of Web and Wireless technologies produced a more coordinated organisation and removed latency in all processes used in engaging customers.

Main achievements
-Delivered successfully bid of Internet Technology and wireless based solutions into CVF (UK Future Aircraft Carrier programme); contract value £67M
-Delivered new software engineering toolset via Internet Technology, to projects and customers via secure portal.
-Delivery global on-line process management using secure Internet Technology.
-Achieved 20% reduction in software development support operational costs
-Delivered new Internet Technology based Document Management System
-Delivered new Internet Technology based Integrated Help Desk, Issue Tracker and Knowledge Base system.
-Invited to Technical Committee to review and realign Eurofighter programme software engineering capability across all partner companies (inc. DASA, CASA and EADS)

-Management of operational budget management of £5.5M/annum
-Management on in-house retained Facilities Management service
-Responsible for all IT within solution design, encompassing 32 individual projects; approximately 600 engineers; across 7 southern UK sites
