Internet Sales/PreSales Specialist
I have been working in the Internet Arena for over 8 years, in various capacities from Presales to Account Management and New Business Sales. I have a broad technical knowledge covering a range of Internet related subjects having worked in a variety of companies from small and successful start-ups to large bluchips. I am most experienced in using the combination of my technical knowledge and Commercial accument to take a business need and translate it into a technical solution.

Enterprise Account ManagerRecruited as the first sales person into the newly formed Enterprise Markets division of Storm I reported directly into the VP of Sales. My role was to develop from a standing start an Enterprise Customer base, using the soon to be launched IP Product set. This was to include Managed Hosting, IP VPN and Transit, and Flexible Gigabit Ethernet Products. The role largely consisted of giving input to the product development teams, gaining familiarity with Storm?s existing Carrier Grade Optical bandwidth products, training the optical sales teams in IP and pre-selling to potential customers and partners. Target Markets are European focussed MNCs, International Finance and Media.

Senior Technical Consultant My role as Senior Technical Consultant was a progression from my original role as a Presales Engineer. The role involved supporting both the Sales team and customers in the identification, planning, and designing of the technically correct solution for complex corporate bandwidth requirements. Latterly it was focussed towards Major Account Management where my responsibilities have included accounts such as 3Com, QXL, Internet Exchange, Sony Europe, Reuters and Mazda, amongst others. New business accounts I have worked on and have brought in include The Prudential?s Egg (£600k), Reed Personnel (£400k), Faulding Pharmaceuticals (£200k), Interactive Investor (£200k) and Quote & Buy (£200k) ? again amongst others. Due to the diversity of the client base and project type it required me to have a wide range of Internet related skills, from Telecommunications knowledge and IP routing, through RIPE documentation and Domain Name systems to Content Distribution, and Software load balancing. As a Senior Consultant within the Presales Team, I reported directly into the Senior Management, and had daily involvement with INS?s Senior Management and Director Teams. I interfaced with customers at all levels from CEO & CTO to IT Manager and end users. This gave me a wide range of interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with people on all levels.
