2005 - 2006   The Phoenix Partnership
Working as part of a very dynamic support team for IT company based in Leeds that specialises in clinical software for the UK healthcare industry named SystmOne.
In my role, I supported a range customers ranging from doctors and nurses of all levels working in general practice and in specialist areas in primary and secondary care. In addition to administration and management positions both in practices through to local trusts and regional management.
I have also been involved with managing, developing and deployment of SystmOne to healthcare services in the prison service. This has given me the opportunity to gain experience in project management. I have used my technical and training skills to work with clients to train them to use the system and to improve the way they work and collaboration with external agencies.
In my role on the support team, my day to day communication with the customers was through a combination of mediums including telephone calls, emails and faxes. I supported the customers and a further network of support infrastructure for the range of products the company produces. This puts heavy demands on both technical knowledge and communication skills to provide a service that is of a high quality and speed.
Due to the wide range of products, the team relied on each other for expertise in specialised areas to back up the high quality of support given to the end users. This puts demands on both teaching and learning skills to be able to adapt to the changing working environment.
2004 - 2005   Royal Bank of Scotland
Working in a busy bank processing centre working directly with customers on the telephone.
Tasks included completing various checking procedures on high volumes of information coming into the centre for processing for the purposes of both integrity and security.
In particular, my role involved checking colleagues work for any errors and solving payments that had problems processing.
