Customer Contract Manager

BAESystems Customer Contract Manager JSF-35, Lightning Strike II                June 2007 to Present

Single point of contact for the JSF-35, Lightning Strike II customer. Responsible for a portfolio of tasks delivered by the Engineering Internal Supply (EIS).

 

Budget                          £59 million- Full portfolio of tasks

 

Sign-Off authority          £250,000 for work packages.

 

Man Hours                   343,000 hrs- Major Airframe Tests- MAFT (Fatigue) /MAST (Static), Horizontal & Vertical Tail tests- to 2011+

 

Complexity.                   Project Teams based across multiple sites: Warton, Brough & Woodford

 

Responsibility

 

Estimating                     Ensure full compliance with the EIS Project Management Governance. Definition of the level of Project Management Lifecycle ensuring tasks are initiated and managed as required.

 

Workload Planning        Management of the task & enquiry register for all planning activities. Monthly reviews between the Project Office and the Operational teams. Production of the Programme Review Pack detailing- Project Key Milestones, Risks, Issues, (SOFT), Successes, Opportunities, Failures & Threats, Resource Profile, Contract Status & Lifecycle Management status. Maintenance of a set of agreed assumptions used as the basis for resource planning within ¼ & 6 monthly cycles.

 

Schedule & Resource    Bridging customer requirements & operational capacity-detailing baseline

 

Management                 schedules prior to task acceptance. Verification of funding from Customer and provision of work authorisation sheets for the operational teams to initiate the tasks.

 

Change Management-   Management of any changes in accordance with the EIS Change Management process-ensuring that change requirements are fully quantified and implications understood.

 

Risk & Opportunity       Identification of appropriate personnel to undertake assessment of the projects

 

Management                 maturity within the Lifecycle Management Phase reviews.

 

Customer Satisfaction    Establish customer task reviews to ensure customer requirements are met & the building of dialogue/relationship to develop both Aspiration & Probable tasks into Firm tasks.
