IT Projects Officer

I have over 12 years of IT Support experience on Intel platforms, initially as part of a Finance post and in the last 8 years in an IT department. This experience is within the NHS and as a result I have a wide range of skills.

Current Post - Information Technology Projects Officer.

This post is management of new IT projects and provision of second and third line support.

Project Management

Recent projects:
· Merging two organisations Exchange systems to a new Exchange System
· Firewall implementation (ongoing)
· Merging two organisations NHSnet links to a single NHSnet link/LI>
· Metaframe migration from 1.8 to XP (ongoing)

Second and third line technical support

This involves dealing with staff at different levels within the organisation, and with differing levels of understanding of computer related equipment and terminology.

Helpdesk Management

I have recently been placed in charge of a Helpdesk team of 4 IT Support Officers.
