Network Engineer

 

I have worked in the IT Industry for 15 years, formerly as a Cabling and Network Installation Engineer. I made the change to Network Software Engineer approximately Four Years ago. I currently run a medium sized Switched Cisco LAN for 1700 users.
I am hard working and enthusiastic about the Networking Industry and am always willing to learn new skills if the opportunity arises.

Network Support Engineer with control of a variety of Networks both LAN and WAN based. All LANs are switched Ethernet. The WANs are a mixture of X21 and Frame Relay with some Dial-Up.
1993 - 1998   Contract
Contract Engineer working on a variety of Network Installations throughout the Country. Main contract during this period was senior Engineer in charge of installing a new 6000 line Telephone System at Warwick University.
1991 - 1993   ICS International Ltd
Senior Installation Engineer and Team Leader for this Network Installation Company. I eventually became Contracts Manager for this IT Company.
1988 - 1991   Protus Electronics
Network Support and Installation Engineer and Team Leader for this Network Installation Company.
1978 - 1988   Royal Air Force
Aircraft Technician.
