Professional Specialist in the IT Division with the following responsibilities:
Network Structured Cabling Manager

Project manager in the restructuring, upgrading, maintenance and installation of physical facilities and structured cabling.

Managed two people in the internal helpdesk team, assigned their workload and motivated them to meet deadlines by encouraging them to be more proactive.

Improved the installation procedures and methodology for solving structured cabling problems, and also refined the incident management process. As a result improved the service so that average response times were consistently within target.


Network Security Systems Co-manager

Took responsibility for all aspects of administering security systems reviewing all infrastructure projects making recommendations for improvements to ensure conformance, implementing controls and procedures to ensure security standards were met.

Designed implemented the replacement security system following acceptance of the recommendations. As a result the network security system is one of the biggest in Colombia. It has now twelve firewalls, two of them disposed in High Availability configuration and also there are Contents Control, new Anti Virus platforms and strong authentication.
