Configuring and transitioning in servers for new accounts, post-build.
Liaison to project managers, roll-out engineers, etc. on new projects.
Monitoring and trouble shooting backup jobs across all accounts, and on multiple sites.
Pro-active monitoring and maintenance of the health of all servers. Software used includes Compaq Insight Manager, Remotely Possible, Unicenter TNG.
Running, logging and reporting of virus scripts, issues, updates, etc.
Main liaison between 1st line Help Desk and 2nd line Operations.
Resolving 2nd line calls passed on from the Help Desk. Including data restoration, printer issues, various server problems, etc.
Administering file and folder security. Creating and maintaining user accounts, home drives, profiles, etc.
Creating and maintaining global groups. Assigning user rights and permissions.
Liaison to field engineers during outages, problem resolution, etc.
Out-of-hours support as part of 24/7 shift system
