Senior Notes/Domino Developer

Having been a Notes/Domino developer for 6+ years gaining a broad knowledge on different technologies associated with various high profile Web and Notes development projects, I am now seeking an opportunity to take advantage of my knowledge and technical skills.

I have recently completed a position with Unilever (head office, Blackfriars, London), where I was mainly involved with Intranet developments, using extensive lotus script, html, dhtml, javascript, and other web technologies, such as Java.

Former jobs have involved roles as a Project Manager guiding projects throughout the course of their full development cycle, carefully steering through some of the pitfalls that exist on the path to completion, such as change requests and meeting key milestones on time.

I am certified to principle level in R4 and R5 Domino/Notes (PCLP Application Developer), and am also a Sun certified Java Programmer.

2000 - 2002	Unilever
Senior Domino Developer Developed and provided consultation on various global Intranet projects for Unilever?s departments. Managed, throughout the full project cycle, and developed web-based workflow applications, discussion boards, document management applications and departmental schedule planners. Used CSS to ensure that Unilever?s Corporate standard design was implemented so that the applications would fit into the Central Intranet design/colors. Sat down with the client and collected their requirements/wishlists via a ?brain storming? workshop. Produced a Requirements Specification from this meeting and proceeded with the project, reporting back and demonstrating the work-to-date to the client at various previously agreed key milestone dates. Once the client was happy with the end application, I was available for any support issues in the early stages of the application going live. This gave the client a comfort period to get familiar with their new application. Main programming skills used were LotusScript, JavaScript, Java, DHTML, and XML.
1999 - 2000	ComputaSoft Consulting
Notes/Domino Consultant Developed and supported a global application to automate and streamline the procedures for handling employees expenses. Extensive and complex LotusScript was implemented to ensure that all of the stages were defined and captured for the authorisation of expenses. Wrote export agents within Notes that extracted defined data from forms into tab-delimited text files, so that the client could transfer the data to their Mainframe. The data exported was on a very large scale, and the client had strict contingencies for accurate and compliant data. Produced Excel worksheets from Notes Data using Lotus Script agents and VB (within Excel), so that the client could ad-hoc query data. The agents were written in LotusScript and the application was in R4.6.
1996 - 1999	Symetris
Notes/Domino Project Manager Project Managed and developed a client-server application, through it?s full project cycle. The application replaced a very time consuming paper based system, and it enabled the UK mobile sales force the ability to produce quotations through the use of their laptops. Automated the authorisation of quotations and sent them out centrally via a Domino Fax Server. Wrote server procedures in Lotus Script, which included generating informative e-mails where necessary, and configured the Domino Fax Server. The data from Notes was exported to Oracle tables, created Universes to enable the client to use Business Objects to produce monthly management reports and to ad-hoc query the data.
