Position- Team Leader\Assistant Project

On going project for the renewal of all PC's within Ford Motor Company and upgrading operating system to Windows 2000. The responsibilities of the post within the project are

·Assist the Project Manager and stand in when he is unavailable.

·Manage the team of (between 4 and 8) Engineers, and oversee all aspects of technical functions

·Responsible for the renewal of the Head Office and other remote sites

·Asset management ? Updated daily

·Raise and Resolving issues with local Ford site personnel

·Technical support - First point of contact

·Scheduling ? Daily\Weekly distribution of Work and Man Power

·Raising new orders and Ordering new equipment

·TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and Active Directory

·Software compatibility and verifying install instructions and procedures

·Managing and Organising member of the team (4-8 Engineers and 2 Porters)

·Responsible for the Global Client build disk which is site specific, used to configure new PC

·Data Recovery

Postiton - Engineer(4 Weeks)

Build, install and support Dell Optiplex Range (EBD, SBD and Laptops). My responsibilities as an engineer are as follows

·Using Ghost v.6.1 to image the new PC with Ford Motor Company?s Global Client (Windows 2000).

·Explain and Answer any question regarding Windows 2000 Operating system.

·Pre/Post renewal support Hardware and Software.

·Configure Outlook 2000, TCP\IP or DHCP,and synchronising laptops for offline usage.

·Backup and Restore Users data including Outlook 2000 personal folder, Personal Address Book, Signatures, Netscape Bookmarks and Internet Explore Favourites.

·Installing software requested by user e.g. a few examples PeopleSoft GL, Peoplesoft ASR, Viper, Salaries, Igrphx, MS Project 98/2000.
