I have a good academic background and a number of years working within the industry to back this up with practical experience.

Having worked as a sales advisor I have developed excellent interpersonal skills, helping me to communicate with and resolve the issues of the people I come into contact with in my day to day work.

I currently work within the systems department supporting 300+ users for two sister companies, over four different locations. I am responsible for providing day to day support and maintenance for the networking and computer equipment and software. The technologies involved in this include Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP workstations and servers, a variety of PC applications, Microsoft Proxy Server, linux email servers (using exim message transfer agent), Solaris based sales and despatching system (unify), various routing and switching hardware (providing both LAN and WAN facilities between all sites), and a Siemens Realitis phone network. My work involves ensuring all the systems are running correctly, carrying out daily backups of all systems, creating ad-hoc reports for users using SQL, user training and assistance, system setup, administration and fault tolerance, system security, remote system management and maintenance, and a variety of other responsibilities.
2000 - 2002	GUYSON INTERNATIONAL LTD.
Working within the IT department of an international company I was responsible for providing IT systems support to users, maintaining and developing hardware and software solutions and providing systems security and fault tolerance on the company?s main networks. This involved the use, maintenance, and support of many different systems, such as Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP workstations and servers, various PC applications, 2D and 3D CAD systems, a dial up network connection between two sites, a Unix based manufacturing system (Baan), a linux based e-mail server and both PC and networking hardware. Also, I was part of a major project for designing and developing an in-house database system for the company?s customer action records using Microsoft Access. Being the sole developer of this system, I have gained an excellent knowledge of Access and visual basic for applications, along with good foundations for the use of SQL. Finally, I was also responsible for the duties of the IT manager whenever he was absent from work, covering for both positions whenever necessary.
1999 - 2000	TINY COMPUTERS LTD.
I worked as part of a sales team, assisting customers with both purchasing decisions and technical advice. Involved the use of different computer systems and application software: from Windows 95/98 through to Microsoft Office, digital imaging and even some TV equipment.
1997 - 1999	TIME COMPUTER SYSTEMS LTD.
I worked as part of a sales team, assisting customers with both purchasing decisions and technical advice. Involved the use of different computer systems and application software: from Windows 95/98 through to Lotus Smartsuite and many other games and applications. Also, I was often responsible for the repair and rebuilding of customer?s computers after they had come across technical difficulties. All manner of hardware and software issues were handled in order to make sure that the computer?s were repaired correctly.
