Teaching Company Associate October 1997 ? 1998
Employed initially on a one year contract as a Teaching Company Associate. The object of the scheme was to further the involvement of computer aided design skills and research & develop an entire new range of materials handling equipment. This initially began with hands-on training of various principles on the shop floor. Responsible to the Managing Director for also improving the existing material handling range of products specifically based around vacuum & pneumatic technology, to satisfy market requirements. The new range of equipment & ancillaries was successfully produced which focused on lower manufacturing costs & a modular design to reduce stock and target an untapped marketplace. The Teaching Company Scheme required regular progress & assessment reports to be given in the form of presentations and provided several residential courses to further develop communication, business and presentation skills.
