I have worked within different application environments and have varied my skill base when the need has arisen. I am one of a logical mind, a problem solver and solution provider.

2000 - 2003   Various
Freelance application developer and trainer, specialising in LDML, PHP, Perl, C/C++, Java, FileMaker, MySQL driven applications. Within this time frame, I wrote the first book on LDML (Lasso Professional 5 Developer?s Guide). Also, I was an Alpha, Beta tester for Blueworld Communications Inc.
1998 - 2000   Quo Vadis Recruitment Limited
Employed to work for Quo Vadis Recruitment Limited, to assist in the development and project manage a prototype HR application combining Filemaker with Lasso version 3, which was then ported through to JSP/JAVA and MS SQL.

This solution was then wrapped and sold to online companies such as IndustryStandard.com
1996 - 1998   Various
Moved into the freelance application development market and contracted work with various small businesses, to bring their companies online through a combination of flat file, MySQL, FileMaker, Perl 4/5, PHP, Lasso2/3, MAC OS, Unix and Linux.
1994 - 1996   IT Training
Ran a partnership in IT Training, specialising in End User and bespoke application training, covering the spectrum of Microsoft and Lotus applications, through to custom built applications.

High profile contracts included the National Health Service on behalf of BT Syntegra, English Heratage, Blue Arrow Recruitment Services, ITNet, and various IT Training companies under their branded company names.

Developed an IT Training resourcing application in Lotus Notes 3 / 4 for the company, which eventually was sold to other IT training companies as their contact, sales and ledger application.

I was on the board for Business Link, Hertfordshire, UK ? as I was in a position to give advice to small businesses through a young pair of eyes.
1988 - 1994   Royal Navy
Joined the Royal Navy as a communications specialist, where I progressed through the ranks with ease gaining expertise knowledge in providing solutions, strategies within IT & Communication based environments. Reaching management levels, before choosing to leave for a commercial life.

Served in the Gulf war (1991), and am able to cope within high stress environments.
