Junior Network Support / Administrator

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been working as the IT/network administrator for the Ministry of Defence and am only too aware of how important communication within a team is. Being the only IT person administering and monitoring the LAN I have learnt how important time keeping and working to deadlines are. I have furthered my knowledge and understanding of server software, domain administration, network protocols/architecture, firewalls, routers and security.

I am a self-motivated and hard working individual with a very goal orientated drive and always look to get the job done. I am able to work just as well independently or within a team environment and have effective project management skills.

I also have many skills in the field of multimedia, in such areas as media production, databases and design, which also means that I am able to pay excellent attention to detail.

I also have knowledge and understanding of various development languages and approaches; including SQL for databases, UML for Object Orientated development, HTML and XML for the Web and am currently learning Linux Server Security as well as studying for Cisco Certification.

I also have excellent knowledge and experience of building, upgrading and maintaining computers, as well as extensive knowledge of hardware (including networking hardware) and software. I am an excellent problem solver and am able to work well with numbers.

I also have excellent communication skills, which have been bettered further by my giving of presentations and working with people in the area of multimedia production and consultancy.
