Daily administration of the TNT enterprise data warehouse involving the upgrade, support, maintenance and tuning of the Teradata backend database, Cognos Win2k server farm and associated tools and utilities including Upfront, Netscape Directory Server (LDAP), Transformer, PPES, IWR and Impromptu.
Performed project management and capacity planning for major projects including the upgrade to Cognos version 7.0 MR2 the design and implementation for a new Cognos server architecture and most recently the Cognos version 7.1upgrade.
Provided 24-hour technical support for the EDW including the design and implementation of all system backups and disaster recovery plans.
Supported users and helpdesks in twenty-five countries.
Interacted and supported numerous applications teams on a global basis.
Developed web servlets using JAVA and HTML allowing greater support and reporting abilities for senior management and helpdesks involved with the EDW.
