Delphi Programmer

I have five years of Delphi development experience using Paradox and DBISAM databases and SQL to query them. I am a good team worker and also enjoy working on my own projects. I am self motivated with a desire to be successful.
I also have two years experience of being a working on a support desk and being a support programmer and feel I have strong customer facing skills.
I ran my own business for a year after leaving collage which has given me a further level of experience that has proved very useful.

I am looking to work for a company that values its employees and treats them well. Some kind of benifits package would be wonderful but is by no means required, the job and the working environment are more important to me.

2001 -	Health International
I have spent the majority of my time at Health International as the sole developer of a clinical audit system called Quasar 2. I was responsible for working with the marketing team to create a specification that reflected the market changes since version Quasar 1, I then saw the product through the full system lifecycle, writing the code (Delphi 5) and supervising its initial roll out to customers. I also supervise the work of the support programmer who supports our existing products
1999 - 2001	TCS UK Ltd
I initially worked as a support programmer fixing bugs and making modifications to TCS?s products. I was the first line of support dealing directly with the customers. All programming was done in Paradox, a language I had to teach myself during the first few months of my time here. I spent my last six months as the manager of the support department during which time my extra duties included the allocation of work to other staff members, reporting to management and customers with the status of outstanding issues. I also dealt with any internal hardware/network problems. During my time at TCS I was also responsible for the installation and support of a Microsoft Exchange email server.
1998 - 1999	Focalpoint Software
I set up Focalpoint Software with a partner after leaving college. Although specialising in video capture applications we also offered custom created software for small businesses all of which were written in Borland Delphi.
1996 - 1997	Software Analyst Services
One Year Work Placement I was in charge of the development of two video capture applications for sale to the optical market. I used Borland Delphi for the development, which I taught myself during the year. As these two applications were the first time SAS had done any Windows development I had to do most of the research and code routines myself, as well as liase with the salesmen and other industry contacts to ensure the products would meet the market needs.
