IS Manager

I am a hardworking, committed individual who appreciates challenges and gets a real enjoyment from success.

I currently hold 3 jobs within my present employment - I am responsible as IT Office Manager for all the IT Support and Services within UK, Scandinavia and parts of Ireland.

My second position is as Head of IT Key Account Management for our Adhesives Division and my responsibilities include Strategy Definition and Implementation, including reporting to Board level. I also have responsibility for approving and tracking Business IT projects, ensuring that Business Benefits are realised and measured.

My third position is that of Head of PMO (Programme Management Office) and my responsibilities here include the monitoring and planning of the Global System Programme, HR activities and Skill Monitoring of consultants worldwide, Project Reporting and assisting with Project Management of large scale projects.

These complex responsibilities mean that I have to be quick thinking, able to prioritise and also to have an appreciation of the different cultures of the people I work with.

My total budget responsibility is in excess of 42m Euros p.a. I currently have Man-Management responsibility of 45 people, within the three different departments.

I am a member of the Executive Committee for IT and this means I have a direct say in the IS Strategy of the company, including the realisation of the Business Case.

I have previous Project Management experience, including the whole Project Life Cycle, of large scale SAP implementations.

I recently had to restructure the IT Department in the UK, resulting in redundancies and a realignment of strategy. I have personally been involved in defining the long term strategy of IT Offices worldwide and also in the definition of IT Strategy long term. This meant my Change Management Skills were put to the test - but since the restructuring I have carried out 360 degree feedback within the department with very positive results.

I have had an external Management Competency Assessment carried out by a leading UK company, which is available on request. The basis of this assessment lists me as Results Oriented, Positive, Creative & Analytical, able to excel under pressure and to "hit the ground running".

I am looking for a multinational company with challenging goals. The company should encourage innovative thinking and reward performance. I am not looking for a company who is bogged down with HR policies and procedures, or a company who is afraid to make far reaching decisions.
