Network Administrator

I have extensive experience with all the Microsoft application software packages, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Visio and have taught ECDL and Clait to Post 16 students while acquiring the C&G 7407 FENTO, Teacher Training qualification.
I have also gained experience with various networking topologies, NT4, and XP operating systems during my previous employment as a quality manager.

Knowing that the world of IT is constantly evolving, and my desire to enhance my ICT skills, I have recently sat the ECDL Advanced course. Furthermore I am currently studying the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer / Windows 2003 course, at Tech -Connect in Birmingham.


Qualified as a Mechanical Engineer/Draughtsman, my interest in computing increased some years ago when the drawing office I worked in, converted from the traditional ?drawing board? to Computer Aided Design. My self -taught prior knowledge of computing was often called upon by others in the office that found the transition more difficult than I did. This is where my interest in diagnosing and solving Windows/Networking problems began.
To ensure the progression of my own professional development, I have recently completed the ECDL advanced course at JMC. Furthermore, I am currently attending a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer?s course at Tech- Connect, in Birmingham.
Computing has been, and is still my main hobby and to have the opportunity to pass on my acquired knowledge to others, has merely extended my passion from home, into my working environment.
