UMIST Chemical Engineering Graduate

 

I am a UMIST engineering graduate who is looking to enter the IT profession. My academic and professional career has highlighted my flair for computing and business, notably a successful internship with Ford Finance and a first class design project. I have been working in Nice for the past year and am now fluent in French. I am returning from Nice, and will be available for work, from the 4th October.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • ECCIS international student of the year, for France. Awarded to one student per year, per European country, for inter-cultural integration, communication and strength in languages.
  • Awarded gold level in the Manchester senior schools mathematics Challenge.
  • Gained places on University first teams for both rugby and football.
  • Having worked for one year in France after my degree, I am now fluent in French.
  • Elected group leader for final year project on account of strong communication skills. Awarded first-class for group project.


    IT SKILLS

  • Trained in Visual Basic, and successfully implemented this in my final year project.
  • Extensive training in pro II, chemical process simulator.
  • Successfully completed Ford advanced in-house training programme for Excel and PowerPoint
  • Recently completed e-learning HTML programming course
  • Extremely proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications
