Service Cost Analysis (Contract) - Using the ITIL Service Function and Delivery framework produce a Desktop Standardisation Business Case report and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model for a desktop estate of 30,000+ within a FTSE20 plc. The assignment required the creation of a service orientated TCO model aligned to the business application and technology strategy. Options included both in-sourced and out-sourced solutions, and a 5 year return on investment profile on £70m capital. a financially sound and technically conformant (ITIL) proposal were key requisites of the Business Case Report. This client is subject to an NDA.
2003 - 2003   Hays PLC/Platinum Equity
Interim Transition Programme Manager - To manage the divestment of the IT Department & Functions for Hays Logistics, as they transitioned from Hays PLC to the nominated purchasers. The role acted on behalf of the purchasers during the sale, and continued until a free-standing IT function within the new business had been successfully established.

The department constituted 45 direct reports, consultants, and 3rd party suppliers of services.
2002 - 2003   TNT Logistics
Contract Programme Consultant recruited to manage, from inception to delivery, the national Home Delivery Supply Chain Management Solution for the B&Q ?Take Away? Kitchen Range. Installed in over 320 stores, 5 regional distribution depots, from one central fulfilment warehouse, the solution provides support for Stores, The Warehouse, Transport, and Call Centre functions on a 24x7, 364 basis.
2000 - 2002   Hays DX
IT Director (Permanent) Hays DX (turnover c£140) is part of the Hays PLC group of companies, and specialises in Express Mail & Courier Delivery Services though-out the UK and Western Europe. Hays DX operates with a customer base in excess of 80,000, and provides predominantly next day delivery services to box & door for the Legal, Insurance, Banking, & Retail Sectors.

Primary Role - The management of all aspects of day to day & strategic development of the IS & IT Functions within the company, in line with business plans.
1998 - 2000   Hays Logistics UK
Hays Logistics UK (turnover c£750m) provides national supply chain logistics solutions (inclusive of full stock ownership) to major high street retail & consumer outlets, and manufacturing & electronics sectors.

Primary Role - Responsible for all Company Back-Office & e-Commerce applications including the day to day management & continuity through to the implementation of new business solutions.
