SPECIAL ACHIEVMENTS

1999
I was one of 17 people chosen out of 14 African countries to receive MS Windows 2000 readiness training. With the mandate to train all MCSE?s in our countries before the release date of Windows 2000.
2004
I was appointed by Trustco Group International as assistant IT manager, with the mandate to fix their struggling IT infrastructure. As Project Manager and implementer I was able to bring their IT infrastructure to such a high standard, that Trustco Group International received and Accolade from Microsoft. Trustco Group International also became the first company in Nambia to have Microsoft do a case study on their IT infrastructure. More information on the case study:

Assistant IT Manager / Systems Analyst

To manage a fast growing IT infrastructure, that uses
state of the art technology, like a Fujitsu Siemens SAN, a WAN Across Namibia and South Africa. I was also deeply involved for designing software that facilitated intelligent decisions based on incoming SMS?s through the cell phone network. Our SMS software facilitated a Lotto type game via cell phones in Namibia. I was also the project manager and designer for the in-house developed short term legal insurance program, that is used by Legal Shield Namibia, a subsidiary company of Trustco Group International. I was also responsible for the planning, design and implementation of a Windows 2003 server platform with terminal services and clustering to facilitate load balancing between the terminal services. This included from security policies to Active directory structures. I was also responsible for the securing and ongoing security of web servers, mail servers and internal LAN and WAN. The maintenance and management of the entire Legal Shield MSSQL 2000 database was part of my responsibility. I also implemented a one way replication strategy to an offsite MSSQL 2000 server. This implementation will allow the company to have the database up and running within 30 minutes after a disaster.

To manage a fast growing company that develop Internet Software, and database integrated websites. I was also responsible for managing software development projects, clients and designing and building relational databases
using MSSQL 2000 and MySQL. I also did Active Server Pages (ASP) programming, as an user interface for the databases on the internet.

I was transfered to Management Consulting Services a department of PWC.
Microsoft Consultant and Project manager for various
development projects using Visual Basic, MSSQL Server 7.0 and Microsoft Access from 2000 ? 2001 (10 Months)
I was responsible for writing specs, planning and manage software development projects for MCS clients while remaining within budget guidelines. My duties also I included relational database design and Visual Basic programming. I was responsible for a group of 8 programmers and database designers.

I was transfered to CompuTeach a department of PWC.
Microsoft Trainer ? Trained MCSE courses, Microsoft Office and A+ courses. From 2000 (10 Months)
CompuTeach was a subsidiary company of PricewaterHouseCoopers that provided computer training. Both technical and end user. I have trained MCSE?s, A+ technicians as well as end users in all Microsoft Office applications. From basic to Advanced courses. I also trained managers and other senior staff members of various banks in MS Project 2000.

I was responsible to redesign the network to facilitate the integration of 2 offices across the country via a WAN. I also was responsible to plan and supervise the entire migration from Novel 3.51 to Windows 2000.
