Responsible for Creating and Leading the Global Software Group. This team is responsible for the Global Software Architecture, Development and Integrated Testing, Implementation and Technology Client Support Services throughout Modus Media International (MMI). Modus Media is an Outsourced Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management company. The Global Software team spans three regions, with primary sites in the Netherlands, Singapore and Utah in the United States. The Group currently has over 90 full time staff. My key responsibilities of this role include; Driving the deployment of a common IT platform by providing our 20 Solution Centres with the technical resources to effectively and consistently implement MMI?s common solution architecture. This consists of a fully integrated ORACLE based ERP, CRM system and E-Services, including several web stores and e-portal solutions. Responsible for negotiating Service Level and Maintenance Agreements with Vendors and clients. Work directly with the Business and Sales Teams providing Technical Support and Project Management for new program implementations. The group is responsible for designing, developing and implementing software for the business to support both internal business requirements and external customer driven programs. Our Development teams develop ORACLE based ERP, CRM, Messaging and e-commerce software. Java, XML and EDI system integration with external client ERP systems and e-Services. Creating and Leading Global Application Support organization including Manufacturing/Distribution, Financial, Front Office, and Global Messaging Systems. Implementation of Biztalk as the standard global messaging utility. Building and operating a Corporate Messaging Utility that is responsible for all the ?electronic interactions? with our clients. These interactions include all EDI, XML, and client portal services. Full IT Budgetary responsibility, in excess of $9 Million. Significant projects completed include installing a new CRM and ERP infrastructure of Vantive/IFS. Other responsibilities include various regional and global projects covering Development and support, including defining a SDLC, Distributed order management system and Global Content Management system.

Responsible for managing IT support and development within the Customer Services and Works directorates. This included providing support for two National call centres in Croydon and Glasgow. Planned and project managed the development, implementation and support of national systems. Guide, monitor and review the work of systems programming and database administration. Configure Software and Test Software for Systems compatibility within Novell Networks. Research and prepare procedural/technical and project specifications. Responsible for recruitment of both internal IT vacancies and external contractors. Provide reports and statistical analyses for the Directors of Networks and Customer Services. Co-ordinate work of others within Workgroups, allocating work and checking work for adherence to timescales and quality. Discuss problems or situations with local managers/group leaders frequently. Write several in-house database systems. Write software specifications for new national systems. Read and understand clearly written technical and quality documentation. Identify the need for new specifications or the updating of procedures. Achievements include developing, Project Managing, implementing and managing several National Computer Systems. Including a National Telecomm?s Installation Job Control system, a comprehensive Job control and estimating system which wis used at both Racal BRT?s national Customer Service Centres and all 13 of our Works offices. A Line Plant Control system for all cabling and exchange records/information and a Electronic Document Management System.
