Graduate IT Training Programme

A highly motivated and goal-oriented individual. Currently finished my final year of a BSc (Hons) BIT course with a 2:1. Capable of achieving future objectives as demonstrated by successful completion of studies and commitment to part-time work.

Having studied a BSc (Hons) BIT course and having done much of my course works I have acquired good IT skills. In addition, I have a very good knowledge of business aspects having studied Accounting and Economics while doing my A? levels.

As a BIT student covering a range of subjects, I have been able to develop my organisational skills and technical skills whist combining my assignments and being the team leader of the group works and mastered my time management skills whilst doing my course works by working under set deadlines. I have a very good working knowledge of MS Office 2000, Me, XP (including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project etc).

I have developed my software skills and I have gained a very good knowledge of Visual Basic while dealing with macros and while doing my O? level computer project using Dbase 3 to set up a computerised database for a bakery system as well as SQL which I have used in relation to database aspects.

The web design aspect interests me a lot and I have designed websites using Netscape Composer and Dreamweaver. I have had an inquisitive mind since childhood and I always had an eye for details.

My work experience and good communication skills gained from giving presentations at seminars have nurtured my people skills and my academic background gives me confidence in my career direction and in my abilities to perform competently.

During my internship at 'NextStepWebHosting Ltd', I had to work closely with other members of the IT department. As a very outgoing person, I get on very well with people and I always treat my colleagues as individuals. I have worked on a few projects which require a lot of commitment and hard work from the team and with my good interpersonal skills I helped co-ordinating the progress of the project and at times I was required to lead group meetings.

Moreover, given that I am fluent in French I am able to communicate with a wide range of people. I enjoy working hard and am an enthusiastic and committed member of any team.
